INTERPRETATION OF THE WESTERN AUSTRALIA POLICE FORCE INDUSTRIAL AGREEMENT 2022 WESTERN AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS COMMISSION PARTIES Western Australian Police Union of Workers APPLICANT -v- Commissioner of Police, Western Australia Police Force RESPONDENT CORAM PUBLIC SERVICE ARBITRATOR Senior Commissioner R Cosentino DATE Friday, 13 October 2023 FILE NO P 2 OF 2023 CITATION NO. 2023 WAIRC 00813 Result Order issued Representation (on the papers) Applicant Western Australian Police Union of Workers Respondent State Solicitor’s Office Order WHEREAS this matter is currently listed for a directions hearing on Monday, 16 October 2023; AND WHEREAS on 12 October 2023, the respondent’s representative wrote to the Public Service Arbitrator (Arbitrator) advising that the parties have conferred and have reached an agreement on the programming of the matter and provided a minute of proposed consent orders; AND WHEREAS the Arbitrator has considered the correspondence; NOW THEREFORE the Arbitrator, pursuant to the powers conferred under the Industrial Relations Act 1979 (WA) (IR Act), and by consent, hereby orders – 1. THAT by 4.00 pm on 17 November 2023, the respondent file its outline of written submissions on the substantive matter in the proceeding. 4. THAT if an application is made under order 1, the Arbitrator will notify the parties as to whether leave is granted for the respondent to appear by a legal practitioner at the substantive hearing by 4 December 2023. 5.
