Salaried Officers University Administration COMMISSIONER G.L. FIELDING. 14th day of February 1989. Order. HAVING heard Mr J.D. Miller on behalf of the Applicant and Miss S.C. Lloyd on behalf of the Respondent, the Commission, constituted by the WESTERN AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL GAZETTE :8 WESTERN AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL GAZETTE 69 W.A.I.G. Public Service Arbitrator, pursuant to the powers conferred on it under the Industrial Relations Act 1979, having satisfied itself that the terms of the General Order of the Commission No. 730 of 1988, dated 9 September 1988 have been complied with, and by consent, hereby orders — That the Salaried Officers of Murdoch University Award 1984 as amended be further amended in accordance with the following Schedule with effect on and after this day. (Sgd.) G.L. FIELDING, [L.S.] Public Service Arbitrator. Schedule. Clause 12.—Review of Classification: Delete this clause and insert in lieu thereof:— 12.—Review of Classification. (1) An application, using the prescribed form, for a determination as to the title and/or the classification of any position may be submitted at any time, subject to the proviso in subclause (8) of this clause, by officers whose salaries and conditions of service are prescribed from time to time by this award. (2) An application for a determination as to the title and/or classification of a position will be determined, in the first instance, by the Vice- Chancellor, on the basis of a report from the Personnel Section. (3) Where possible, an application for a deter- mination as to the title and/or classification will be determined by the Vice-Chancellor within two months of date of receipt of the application by the Personnel Section, otherwise reasons for the delay will be communicated to the officer in writing. (4) Where an officer's application for a deter- mination as to title and/or classification is dis- allowed by the Vice-Chancellor, the officer will be provided with a brief statement outlining the reasons for the decision. (5) An officer, who is dissatisfied with the Vice- Chancellor's decision on his/her application for a determination, may make application for a review of that decision, by submitting a claim to the
