Bullock on behalf of the Applicant and Mrs P. Scott on behalf of the Respondent, and by consent, the Commission, pursuant to the powers conferred on it under the Industrial Relations Act 1979 hereby orders — That the Foodland Associated Limited (Western Australia) Warehouse Award 1982 No. A27 of 1982 be varied in accordance with the following Schedule and that such variation shall have effect on and from the 18th day of June 1990. Clause 6.—Casual Workers: Delete subclause (2) of this clause and insert in lieu thereof the following: (2) The minimum period of engagement for casual employees shall be four hours provided that the minimum engagement for casual employees who are engaged by the employer after 18June 1990 shall be three hours. Casual employees shall be engaged in one continuous period in any day at the rate of 20 per centum in addition to the rates prescribed in Clause 28.—Wages of this award and in addition to any shift loading prescribed in Clause 34.—Shift Work. 2. Clause 12.—Meal Money. A. In subclause (1) of this clause, delete the figure "$5.90" and insert in lieu thereof the figure "$6.30". B. In subclause (2) of this clause delete the figure "$3.50" and insert in lieu thereof the figure "$3.70". C. Delete subclause (3) of this clause and insert in lieu thereof the following: (3) Meal money shall be paid as a gross amount included with the wages pay- able for the week during which the overtime is worked. 3. Clause 28.—Wages: Delete this clause and insert in lieu thereof the following: 28.—Wages. The minimum rates of pay payable to adult employees under this award shall be as follows: (1) Adults (Classification and wage per week) (a) Grade I $ Storeperson: (i) During first three months' service 383.60 (ii) After three months' service (iii) After 12 months' service Grade II A worker who is employed to operate a ride-on power operated tow-motor, ride-on power operated pallet truck, or a walk beside power operated high-lift stacker: (i) During first three months' service (ii) After three months' service (iii) After 12 months' service Grade III An employee who is employed to operate a ride-on power operated forklift, high-lift stacker, or high-lift stock picker, or a power overhead traversing hoist: (i) During first three months' service (ii) After three months' service (iii) After 12 months' Grade IV Duties to be determined: (i) During first three months' service (ii) After three months' service (iii) After 12 months" 387.30 391.20 388.80 392.60 396.30 393.90 397.60 401.50 406.40 414.00 (b) A storeperson who is required by the employer to be in charge of a store or warehouse or other employees, shall be paid the following all purpose amount in addition to the rates prescribed in paragraph (a) of this subclause. (i) If placed in charge of a store or warehouse with no other employees or if placed in charge of less than three other employees 12.00 (ii) If placed in charge of three or more other employees but less than 10 other employees 21.90 (iii) If placed in charge of 10 or more other employees 39.50 (2) The minimum rates of pay payable to junior employees covered by this award shall be the following percentage of the adult classification for such work performed. % Under 16 years of age 40 At 16 years of age 50 At 17 years of age 60 At 18 years of age 70 At 19 years of age 80 At 20 years of age 90 2940 (3) (a) An employee shall receive an additional payment for every hour of which he or she spends 20 minutes or more in a cold chamber in accordance with the following: In a cold chamber in which the temperature is:— (i) Below zero degrees Celsius to -20 degrees Celsius — 49 cents per hour. (ii) Below -20 degrees Celsius to -25 degrees Celsius — 57 cents per hour. (iii) Below -25 degrees Celsius — 65 cents per hour. (b) Employees required to work in temperatures less than -18.9 degrees Celsius shall be medically examined at the employer's expense. 4. Clause 42.—-First Aid Officers: Delete the figure "$5.80" and insert in lieu thereof the figure "$6.00".
