PUBLIC SERVICES GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AND ALLOWANCES AWARD No. PSA A 4 of 1989. COMMISSIONER J. A. NEGUS. 22 February 1991. Order. HAVING heard Ms S. Young on behalf of the Applicant and Mr S. Musson on behalf of the Respondent, the Public Service Appeal Board, pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 801 of the Industrial Relations Act 1979 hereby orders — 1. That the dismissal of Mr L. Edwinson from 26 September 1990 was neither unfair nor unreasona- ble. 2. That in all the circumstances the penalty imposed on the appellant should be modified to the extent that he is to be offered a new contract of employment in an agency other than the Mines Department from 1 March 1991 at Level 1.9. 3. He is to be placed on probation and the Human Resource Manager of the agency to which he is allocated is to liaise with Mr K. Leadbetter of the Public Service Commission as to the proper management of the probationary period and the reporting requirements for confirmation of perma- nency. (Sgd.) J.A.
