Control Room Officers) Award of 1988 No. A 42 of 1987. COMMISSIONER A.R. BEECH. 26 June 1996. Order. HAVING heard Mr T. Fiorentino on behalf of the Applicant and Mr C. Keys on behalf of the Respondent and by consent, the Commission, pursuant to the powers conferred on it under the Industrial Relations Act, 1979, hereby orders: THAT the Clerks’ (R.A.C. Control Room Officers) Award of 1988 be varied in accordance with the follow- ing Schedule and that such variation shall have effect from the beginning of the first pay period commencing on or after the 24th day of June 1996. Clause 31.—Rates of Pay: Delete the sentence and the headings immediately preceding subclause (1) and delete subclauses (1), (2), (3) and (4) of this clause and insert in lieu the following: The following shall be the base rates of wages per week payable to employees covered by this award. Clause 31.—Rates of Pay: Delete subclause (9) of this clause and insert in lieu the following: (9) Arbitrated Safety Net Adjustment: The rates of pay in this award include three arbi- trated safety net adjustments totalling $24.00 per week available under the Arbitrated Safety Net Ad- justment Principle pursuant to either the December 1993 State Wage Decision, the December 1994 State Wage Decision and the March 1996 State Wage Decision. The first, second and third $8.00 per week arbitrated safety net adjustments may be offset to the extent of any wage increase payable since 1 No- vember 1991 pursuant to enterprise agreements or consent awards or award variations to give effect to enterprise agreements, insofar as that wage increase or part of it has not previously been used to offset an arbitrated safety net adjustment. Increases made un- der previous State Wage Case Principles or under the current Statement of Principles, excepting those resulting from enterprise agreements, are not to be used to offset arbitrated safety net adjustments.
