WESTERN AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL GAZETTE 2217 Order HAVING heard Mr G Bucknall on behalf of the applicant and Mr M West on behalf of the respondent, the Commission, pursuant to the powers conferred under the Industrial Relations Act, 1979, hereby orders: THAT the Hospital Salaried Officers (Australian Red Cross Blood Service Western Australia) Award, 1978 (No. R 17 of 1974) be varied in accordance with the following Schedule and that such variation shall operate from 4 June 2004. (Sgd.) P.E. SCOTT, [L.S.] Commissioner. SCHEDULE 1. Clause 13. - Meal Money: Delete this clause and insert the following in lieu thereof: Where an employee is required to work on a public holiday for more than two hours or work overtime and such overtime is worked for a period of at least two hours in excess of the required daily hours of work the employee shall be provided with a meal free of cost or shall be paid the sum of $11.70 as meal money. This clause shall not apply where the employee has been advised of the necessity to work overtime on the previous day or earlier. 2. Clause 18. - Motor Vehicle Allowances: A. Delete subclause (4) and insert the following in lieu thereof: (4) Allowance for Towing Employer's Caravan or Trailer In the cases where workers are required to tow employer's caravans on official business, the additional rate shall be 6.5 cents per kilometre. When an employer's trailer is towed on official business the additional rate shall be 3.5 cents per kilometre. B.
